Carrey was fond of doing humour since the very childhood. At the age of  10, he wrote his first letter to Carol Burnett, asking to give a role in a performance, as he considered himself rather good for acting there.

It is stated that Carrey was diagnosed with dyslexia. He was labeled as disruptive, but also forced to communicate with people, who didn't miss the chance to make fun of him. That was the reason he  took the initiate to make humour. He adopted the tactic to memorize as much as possible not to force himself read.
For a long time he was struggling to obtain a job and to make fame for himself. He had failrures with expressing himself. It gave him doubts about the goal to become a comedian. Because of financial problems his family rejected to support him further and to meet his ambitions.
After a while he returned to stage and his talent got noticed by Rodney Dangerfield, who helped the young artist to open his performancies.
Carrey battled dipression. After taking Prozac for a period of time, he decided not to take any medications. He gave up even coffee.

Even after such a hard and full of struggle life, he is now one of the most influential people, one of the greatest and most talented comedians. He succeeded both as an actor, a comedian and a producer.

Success is waiting for everybody, just keep on trying!

“It is better to risk starving to death than surrender. If you give up on your dreams, what’s left?”

– Jim Carrey
