Quantitative Statistician / Mathematician (US Stock Market)

V13 Capital is a forward-thinking trading firm specializing in US stock market indices. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and analytical Statistician / Mathematician to join our team in Yerevan.

In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping our risk management and trading strategies. We primarily trade options and are looking for an expert to help us build, maintain, and monitor a robust trading framework. Your data-driven insights and probabilistic models will directly influence our real-time trading decisions and maximize our overall winning potential.

Key Responsibilities

Framework Development: Design, maintain, and optimize mathematical models and statistical rules to guide our US index options trading strategies.

Risk Analysis: Calculate, model, and monitor statistical probabilities to help the firm make calculated risk decisions on active trades.

Performance Monitoring: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of existing trading frameworks and implement data-driven adjustments to improve trade outcomes.

Data Synthesis: Analyze historical and real-time market data to identify statistical edges and market anomalies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience modeling mathematical and statistical outcomes based on probability theory.

Education: A strong academic background (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or a closely related field.

Language: Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) is required for seamless collaboration and research.

Preferred (Plus) Qualifications

Coding: Proficiency in Python for data analysis and statistical modeling.

Market Knowledge: Prior experience or strong foundational knowledge of the stock market, particularly regarding options and US indices.
