As a Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing a team of cooks, and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the existing menu, ensuring high-quality taste and presentation
- Follow recipes and instructions to maintain consistency in food preparation
- Organise and collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in menu planning and contribute to the development of new recipes
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create and update menus to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Monitor and control food costs and maintain inventory levels
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or menu promotions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Familiarity with a variety of cuisines and cooking techniques
