Role Summary

Your job will be primarily Android native development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, but you will also contribute to cross-platform mobile projects on specific assignments. The rest of your time is spent on collaboration, planning and growing with the team. You are expected to work autonomously on features, estimate your own work and take ownership of deliverables while collaborating closely with the Belgian team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development (90%)

  • Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin
  • Build modern user interfaces using Jetpack Compose following Material Design guidelines
  • Work across multiple client projects: consumer apps, enterprise tools and embedded device controllers
  • Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, offline behavior and data sync
  • Manage local data persistence using ObjectBox
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
  • Estimate features and tasks, provide realistic effort assessments during sprint planning
  • Participate in code reviews (both giving and receiving feedback)
  • Debug and troubleshoot application and integration issues
  • Implement unit and integration tests
  • Contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions

Collaboration & Growth (10%)

  • Participate actively in sprint planning and backlog refinement
  • Coordinate with the Belgian team on project priorities and timelines
  • Grow through pair programming, code reviews and knowledge sharing
  • Document technical decisions and processes
  • Stay current with Android ecosystem trends and best practices.

Communication

  • Participate in regular sync meetings with the Belgian team
  • Communicate proactively about progress, risks and blockers
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand and challenge requirements
  • Ask questions and seek clarification when needed

Kotlin is the language of modern Android development: expressive, safe and fully supported by Google. Strong Kotlin fundamentals make it significantly easier to contribute across our Android projects from day one and provide a solid foundation for picking up cross-platform frameworks like React Native when needed.

I-Logs is a Belgian IT services company specializing in business-level network and cybersecurity services, software and platforms development and managed cloud hosting for enterprise clients. I-Logs AM is our Armenian subsidiary, established to build a dedicated development team supporting the parent company's projects and clients.

A representative from our Belgian headquarters will travel to Yerevan to meet you in person alongside a member of the i-Logs AM team. It's a chance for us to meet you properly and for you to see the people behind the projects, ask real questions and get a clear picture of how we work.

The process:

  2. Call: A first conversation with a team lead to discuss your background, the role and answer your questions. Conducted in English, remotely, roughly 30 minutes.
  3. Live Interview: An in-person interview in Yerevan with an AM team member and the Belgian representative. Expect a technical discussion and a chance to meet the team.
