Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for nature conservation, storytelling, and social impact? FPWC is looking for an experienced Fundraising and Communications Officer to lead our communications and fundraising efforts.
If you have 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications, especially in the non-profit sector, with strong skills in online fundraising, SMM, and Facebook Ads Manager, we want to hear from you!
This is a unique opportunity for a results-driven professional who can craft compelling messages, build lasting donor relationships, and execute creative campaigns that raise both funds and awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the PR & Marketing team in developing and executing strategic communication and fundraising plans.
- Create and manage online fundraising campaigns across digital platforms.
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns, particularly via Facebook Ads Manager.
- Oversee social media marketing (SMM), including content planning, brand voice, and engagement.
- Build relationships with media, donors, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze results, and refine strategies for maximum impact.
- Research, identify, and cultivate new individual and institutional funding opportunities.
- Coordinate donor engagement strategies including newsletters, reports, updates, and impact stories.
- Support the development of grant proposals and fundraising materials in collaboration with the program team.
- Manage and maintain donor databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely follow-ups.
- Represent FPWC at relevant events and donor meetings to strengthen partnerships and visibility.
- Develop the foundation’s overall communications priorities plan and strategic communications roadmap.
- Collaborate with program managers to create tailored communications plans for each project, including communications strategies for their key events and milestones, aligned with project timelines.
- Ensure comprehensive public relations (PR) coverage and storytelling for project components and achievements.
- Coordinate messaging across all projects and ensure alignment with FPWC’s core mission and brand.
Requirements
- Fluent English – written and spoken (mandatory).
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, PR, or fundraising, ideally in foundations or NGOs.
- Proven success with online fundraising campaigns.
- Expertise in social media strategy and management (SMM).
- Proficiency with Facebook Ads Manager and other digital ad platforms.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of global and local environmental challenges, trends, and policies is required.
- Understanding of Armenia’s national environmental strategies and commitments is essential.
- Ideal candidates will be familiar with Sustainable Biodiversity Development (SBD), Armenia’s environmental conventions, including those ratified under international frameworks, and up-to-date with global events such as COP17.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CRMs and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Background in working with international donors or campaigns.
- Additional languages are a plus.
- Familiarity with nature conservation, environmental, or sustainability topics.
