Accounting team lead

HR Solutions Armenia is recruiting on behalf of its partner, Albatross Relocation LLC, for an experienced Accounting Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of accounting operations, maintaining compliance with Armenian accounting standards and tax legislation, and supporting the organization's financial objectives through effective leadership and process improvement.

This role combines strong technical accounting expertise with people management responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a growing international company.

Albatross Relocation LLC is an international company specializing in relocation services, temporary and permanent residence permit (TRP/RP) processing, citizenship acquisition, international business formation, and legal support services for individuals and companies operating globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the daily activities of the accounting team.
• Assign, monitor, and review the work of accountants to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle for the company and its clients.
• Ensure compliance with Armenian accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal company policies.
• Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure the timely preparation and submission of tax declarations and statutory reports.
• Coordinate banking operations, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Develop, improve, and implement accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support audits by preparing required documentation and communicating with auditors.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
• Participate in budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities.
• Train, coach, and support the professional development of accounting team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of accounting experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Armenian accounting standards, tax legislation, and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent command of the Russian language, as Russian is the company's primary language of internal communication.
• Proficiency in Armenian accounting software, including AS Accounting System and similar platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
