Description

  • The Technical Engineer will develop the fiber‑optic and photonics business for OZ Optics (via distributor NFS) in Armenia and Kazakhstan, with a strong emphasis on technical expertise rather than pure sales. The role focuses on understanding customer technical challenges and translating them into concrete solutions based on the OZ Optics product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer technical requirements and design solution architectures using OZ Optics components and systems (polarization‑maintaining components, attenuators, test equipment, sensing systems, high‑power modules, etc.).

  • Prepare technically justified proposals, specifications, and application recommendations for fiber‑optic and photonic solutions.

  • Conduct qualified technical discussions with engineers and specialists, including non‑standard tasks, and propose practical solutions based on OZ Optics products.

  • Liaise with international engineering and commercial teams to adapt solutions to client requirements and support long‑term projects.

  • Maintain and develop long‑term relationships with customers, distributors, and industry partners in Armenia and Kazakhstan.

  • Monitor market trends, new projects, and applied tasks in fiber optics, photonics, and related sectors.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technically oriented commercial, engineering, or product role in fiber optics, photonics, telecommunications, or related areas.

  • Solid understanding of fiber optics principles, key component parameters, and application specifics.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical descriptions, specifications, and product documentation.

  • Capability to translate a customer’s technical request into a specific product or application solution.

  • Professional communication skills with engineering, scientific, and industrial customers.

  • Fluent English and Russian; knowledge of Armenian or Kazakh is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region and work with the company’s international team.
