Picsart is looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join the Content Platform team, which has the mission to enhance and inspire the creative process of Picsart users by building best in class Search and Discovery products
Our cross functional team at Picsart manages the main content and search touchpoints and includes web, backend, AI, and mobile engineers. We focus on centralizing and unifying search and discovery infrastructure, covering content ingestion, analysis, and retrieval. Additionally, we research and develop algorithms for content understanding, search, and recommendations, which are exposed via APIs.You will have the opportunity to work with technologies like e.g. JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, JSS, SASS, PostCSS, JSX, Lighthouse, PageSpeed, Chrome Performance, Redux, Restful web services, Webpack.
Responsibilities
- Develop efficient, high-performing, and scalable web applications using React.
- Enhance the speed and efficiency of the website, utilizing tools like Lighthouse to improve performance scores.
- Design and build a robust and scalable structural framework for the website.
- Conduct performance testing and implement optimizations.
- Oversee Kubernetes environments and continuous integration/deployment pipelines to streamline updates and deployments.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior and mid-level team members, promoting best practices and high-quality coding standards.
- Collaborate with SEO specialists to ensure the website is search engine friendly and ranks well.
- Maintain clear communication within the team and across departments to align with company objectives and customer needs.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and analyze product design complexity to plan workloads and communicate risks.
- Uphold industry standards and company policies to ensure website safety, compliance, and integrity.
Requirements
- BS/MA degree in a highly quantitative field or equivalent
- At least 4 years of experience as a JavaScript Engineer
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and related technologies
- Experience with ReactJS is a must
- Experience with JSS, SASS, PostCSS, JSX
- Experience with Responsive/Adaptive Web Design and Single Page Applications
- Experience with PageSpeed, Lighthouse, Chrome Performance tools
- Experience with JS and CSS performance optimisations is a big plus
- Experience with Redux is a plus
- Experience with RESTful web services is a plus
- Experience with build tools, such as Webpack is a plus
- Self–motivated, work well independently or as part of a team
- Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
