Procurement Lead

Description

Rydena is a tech-startup producing advanced composite prepregs for aerospace and industrial applications. We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Lead Procurement Manager to build our entire supply chain. You will design end-to-end procurement processes, develop sourcing, qualify material suppliers, maintain procurement plans, implement performance management systems (OTD, quality), and align procurement planning directly with production schedules. You will also lead the configuration of Odoo’s Supply chain management and MRP modules.

Responsibilities

1.Process Architecture & Documentation

• Design and document the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from raw material sourcing to production delivery, in collaboration with Product manager Quality, and Production, Finance, Logistics,
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures from scratch, aligned with ISO 9001:2015/EN9100 control of externally provided products/services and traceability standards.
• Create a systematic traceability system for all raw materials ensuring every batch links back to its certificate of analysis, storage conditions

2.Production-Driven Procurement Planning

• Lead the configuration of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) parameters within Odoo ERP: safety stock levels, reorder point triggers, lead times, economic order quantities (EOQ) based on pilot and commercial production schedules.
• Translate the master production schedule (MPS) into a procurement plan for resins, fibers, hardeners, and consumables.
• Anticipate scale-up needs and align supplier capacity with growth forecasts (from pilot line to full production).

3. Supplier Qualification & Selection

• Establish a structured supplier qualification framework tailored to composite raw materials.
• Define contractual agreement terms for technical, quality, and compliance criteria (ISO 9001, REACH, conflict material test reports, lot traceability).
• Lead cross-functional supplier audits (Quality, R&D, Production) for critical supply.
• Maintain and govern an Approved Vendor List (AVL) with prices, MOQ, lead times and clear risk segmentation
• Develop weighted supplier assessment technical capability, quality history, OTD, pricing, financial stability) and use them for annual strategic reviews.
• Manage procurement of Equipment, tooling ensuring timely delivery and installation.
• Lead commercial negotiations for raw materials, equipment, and frame agreements, including pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions, and liability clauses.
• Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts in coordination with legal/finance, ensuring alignment with company risk and compliance policies.
• Establish long-term agreements (LTAs) with key strategic suppliers to secure capacity and pricing stability for scale-up

4.4. Supplier Performance Management (OTD & Quality)

• Implement a supplier performance management system tracking:
  • OTD (On-Time Delivery)
  • Lead time variability and response to corrective actions
  • Incoming quality – defect rate, lot acceptance rate
• Lead Business Reviews with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement in delivery reliability and first-pass yield.
• Escalate underperformers with clear exit and alternatives.

5. 5. ERP & Digital Workflows

• Lead the configuration and deployment of Odoo Inventory, and MRP modules, ensuring digital workflows mirror physical material movements.
• Integrate procurement data with Quality and Production module
• Utilize tools to track supplier trends, optimize lead times,

6. 6. Logistics, Compliance & Regulatory

• Take full ownership of REACH compliance, End-User Certificates, and EU import/export documentation for raw materials and outbound prepreg shipments.
• Work with the logistic department Source and qualify freight forwarders for temperature-sensitive shipments and handle EAEU/EU customs classifications (HS codes for chemical mixtures).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Operations.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in Aerospace/Automotive/Chemical/Electronic/Pharmaceutical or Metal industry supply chain design or procurement management, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of ERP/MRP logic (Odoo preferred) and Business Process Mapping tools
• Advanced Excel and data visualization skills for complex trend analysis.
• Proficiency in EU import/export regulations, ISO quality management, and technical documentation.
• Ability to build systems today that scale for an operation tomorrow.
• Professional fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory for cross-border coordination.
