Description
To inspect and monitor mechanical installation works on site and ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality requirements, and project procedures.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor mechanical works in accordance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare and process Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and maintain relevant inspection documentation.
- Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and related project documentation.
- Inspect mechanical materials, equipment, and installations, including HVAC, heating and cooling, ventilation, plumbing and sanitary, water supply, drainage and sewage, stormwater, fire protection and firefighting, piping, and related mechanical systems.
- Identify defective, incomplete, or non-compliant works and follow up on corrective actions.
- Witness and monitor mechanical testing and commissioning activities.
- Verify completed mechanical works and maintain required inspection records.
- Monitor work progress and report technical, quality, safety, or schedule issues.
- Coordinate mechanical inspection activities with Contractors and other disciplines.
- Perform other mechanical inspection duties assigned by the Site Manager.
Requirements
- Education: Higher education in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Work experience: 2–3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical construction, installation, or site inspection.
- Knowledge: Good knowledge of mechanical building systems and construction practices. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and technical documentation. Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, water supply, heating, cooling, ventilation, firefighting, piping, and related mechanical systems. Knowledge of mechanical materials, equipment, installation methods, testing, and commissioning procedures. Knowledge of applicable quality and safety requirements. MS Office. AutoCAD. English – written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Russian is considered an advantage.
