Emarat Armenia is seeking a qualified and experienced IT Specialist – Gas Stations Network and Infrastructure to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure across gas stations and office locations, including servers, networks, workstations, POS-related systems, CCTV/security systems, and communication equipment.
- Provide IT support for employees and station personnel by troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, printer, POS, and access-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Configure, maintain, and monitor MikroTik routers and firewalls, including VPN tunnels, NAT, firewall rules, routing, bandwidth control, and network access policies.
- Implement and support network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi, and inter-branch connectivity between gas stations and the head office.
- Manage data backup, file storage, and disaster recovery processes using available storage platforms, servers, cloud services, or backup systems.
- Set up and maintain Moxa industrial devices, including switches, serial-to-Ethernet converters, gateways, and communication modules used for industrial and fuel station equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot RS-485 / Modbus communication protocols for integration with controllers, dispensers, sensors, IoT devices, and other industrial systems.
- Monitor network performance, system availability, and security risks across all gas stations and company infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security checks, review firewall rules, verify backup integrity, and proactively identify vulnerabilities or operational risks.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux systems, and related services where required.
- Support fuel station technology systems, including POS connectivity, dispenser communication equipment, payment-related network devices, printers, CCTV/NVR systems, and remote access tools.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their operational technology needs and provide practical IT solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors, internet providers, software providers, and equipment suppliers to ensure stable operation and cost-effective service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, network diagrams, IP addressing, device configurations, passwords, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a System Administrator, IT Specialist, or similar role, preferably in a gas station, retail, industrial, logistics, or non-IT-focused organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong English and Russian communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of network infrastructure, routing, switching, firewall configuration, and system administration.
- Practical experience with MikroTik routers and RouterOS, including firewall rules, VPN, routing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and traffic management.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, domain users, group policies, file sharing, and access management.
- Experience with Linux environments for basic administration, troubleshooting, service monitoring, and system maintenance.
- Understanding of backup strategies, data protection, disaster recovery, and secure file storage practices.
- Experience with Moxa industrial network devices, including serial converters, industrial switches, gateways, or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of RS-485 / Modbus communication setup, diagnostics, cabling, addressing, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of network security principles, firewall policies, VPN access, endpoint protection, and secure remote administration.
- Experience with CCTV/NVR systems, printers, POS-related infrastructure, and station-level network equipment is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize urgent incidents, and support multiple gas station locations.
