About Alpha Food Service

Founded in 2005, Alpha Food Service is a leading distributor and supplier of premium food products, raw materials, and high-end alcoholic beverages for the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, cafés/catering), pastry and bakery businesses, as well as retail stores and chains in Armenia. The company also owns The House (a wine, premium spirits, and gourmet food store) and The Bake House (a baking and pastry equipment and ingredients shop).

Role Overview

As part of the company’s efforts to enhance its management efficiency, Alpha Food Service is looking for a Head of HR Department, who will play a key role in establishing structured HR processes and implementing modern administrative tools. The main goal of this role is to optimize workforce efficiency at both the company-wide and individual levels by ensuring proper task distribution, building a productive team, and fostering effective collaboration between departments. This position requires developing a modern HR system that drives high performance and working closely with the company owner to implement strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Management and Administrative Functions

  • Develop, implement, and regularly update internal job descriptions that clearly define employee responsibilities and contribute to improved productivity.
  • Maintain an up-to-date organizational structure and HR documentation in alignment with the company’s evolving needs.
  • Manage personnel records and ensure timely preparation of all necessary documents, including employment contracts, internal orders, and staffing schedules.
  • Create and implement administrative tools to enhance process transparency, improve communication, and increase overall employee efficiency.

2. Recruitment and Employee Onboarding

  • Prepare job descriptions for publication on job platforms and social media that clearly define position requirements, working conditions, and company benefits to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Coordinate recruitment advertising campaigns executed by the company's SMM team.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Conduct practical assessments to validate candidates’ skills and alignment with company requirements.
  • Manage the employee onboarding process, including conducting introductory training, developing probation period programs, and providing regular performance monitoring and feedback.

3. Employee Development and Corporate Culture

  • Develop and implement training and professional development programs aimed at enhancing employees’ qualifications and ability to handle complex tasks.
  • Regularly assess workplace conditions and analyze employee performance to identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Organize motivational initiatives, including corporate programs and events, to boost engagement and foster a strong company culture.
  • Introduce and refine administrative tools that accelerate workflows, enhance operational quality, and ensure the company’s long-term stability.

4. Strategy Implementation and Executive Collaboration

  • Actively participate in the development and execution of strategic company plans, ensuring their integration into HR processes.
  • Develop and optimize internal policies and regulations in collaboration with senior management to support business objectives.
  • Generate detailed HR reports that reflect department performance and the effectiveness of implemented solutions, providing valuable insights for company leadership.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role in HR.
  • Strong organizational and systematic approach to HR management.
  • Proven track record in recruitment, employee onboarding, and talent development.
  • Proficiency in modern HR tools and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and tackle complex challenges efficiently.
  • Fluency in English and Russian.
