YOUR ROLE

If you are a passionate & self-determined professional who has an innovative approach to accounting and are motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment, then being COAF (Children of Armenia Charitable Fund) accountant is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Accounting functions (80%)

  • Accounting of fixed assets and materials.
  • Accounting of received and given grants and donations.
  • Processing of received invoices.
  • Preparation of payment orders.
  • Issuing invoices within the E-invoicing system.
  • Control over debts and credits.
  • Preparation and presentation of reports to the direct manager and the managing director.
  • Submitting reports to various state organizations as needed.

Suggestions and upgrades (20%)

  • Come up with proposals aimed at improving and making easier accounting procedures, as well as upgrading these and applying legislation changes.

You will be joining the accounting team and work under the leadership of chief accountant.

We're expecting your best and require that:

YOU KNOW (knowledge)

  • Financial Reporting Standards and have education in accounting, economics, or financial field, as well as at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
  • Tax legislation and other legal acts.
  • Labor Code.
  • AS-Accountant software.
  • Armenian` written and oral.
  • English` written and oral.
  • Being an ACCA student is preferable.

Children of Armenia Charitable Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, health, social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 64 villages in Armavir, Aragatsotn, Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions.

Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiatives. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and will be replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debet, Lori Region.
