Description
Picsart is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to ensure the success of our product by automating the testing process with modern test approaches and automation tools. The ideal candidate will promote QA best practices while delivering high-quality products that provide an exceptional experience for our users.
As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will work with Java, TestNG, JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and JMeter. Your responsibilities include designing automated solutions, creating and maintaining test scripts, ensuring application functionality and performance, and improving test automation quality. You will also mentor junior teammates and collaborate with DevOps to enhance continuous integration processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated solutions for the web and mobile applications in a cross-functional, agile environment
- Design and execute performance tests using tools like JMeter to ensure the application can handle expected user loads and stress conditions
- Work on test framework to support current needs to deliver a quality product
- Monitor test suite and address problems accordingly
- Continually improve the test suite and increase coverage
- Work with teams to optimize test automation quality
- Code Review with your peers
- Work with DevOps to suggest improvements in processes and Jenkins Continuous Integration cycle
- Be a mentor for the junior QA engineers
Requirements
- BS, MA or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience in Java, Python, or other OOP language
- Experience in API Testing (HTTP methods, how login functionality works on API level)
- Experience in Test Automation (Locators, design patterns, frameworks, annotations)
- Experience with Test Automation technologies such as TestNG, JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Appium
- Experience in automating build processes, application deployments, and continuous integration systems like Jenkins
- Knowledge of OOP (Inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, abstraction)
- Knowledge of Testing Fundamentals (Test Types, Levels, Bug Lifecycle)
- Knowledge of Tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, TestRail, Jira, Postman, etc.)
- Knowledge of DevOps processes is a plus
- SDLC Knowledge/Understanding (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Kanban)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong analytical and research skills
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, motivation, and desire for continuous improvement
- Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
