“BDO Accounting, Tax and Legal” CJSC is looking for an Senior Accountant / Tax Specialist, who will be responsible for the tax and accountancy tasks in the frames of customer’s and the company’s interests. He/she must maintain corporate and professional discipline and the code of ethics.
Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and tax advisory services to local and international clients;
- Maintain and review client's accounting records in accordance with Armenian accounting standards and applicable legislation;
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including recording transactions, reviewing supporting documents, and ensuring accuracy of accounting data;
- Perform monthly and annual closing procedures, including preparation of financial information and supporting schedules;
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts;
- Prepare and review tax calculations, tax declarations, and other tax-related documentation;
- Assist clients with VAT, profit tax, income tax, and other tax compliance matters;
- Support clients during tax inspections and communication with tax authorities when required;
- Participate in accounting and tax advisory projects, including process reviews and improvements;
- Identify opportunities to improve clients’ accounting processes and internal procedures;
- Manage multiple client assignments and ensure timely delivery of services;
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their accounting and tax needs;
- Coordinate with team members and provide guidance to junior colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
- 5+ years of relevant experience in tax consulting, accounting, or audit;
- Strong knowledge of Armenian tax legislation and accounting standards;
- Experience with tax declarations, VAT, profit tax, and other tax-related matters;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects;
- Strong communication and client management skills;
- Proficiency in Armenian and English languages (Russian is an advantage);
- Experience with accounting software (1C, AS) and MS Office tools.
- CAAA (Chamber of Auditors and Expert Accountants of Armenia) qualification or progress toward CAAA certification is an advantage.
