Description
A crusher operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used to crush and grind materials. They work in industries such as mining, construction, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery, including crushers, conveyors, and screening equipment, in a safe and efficient manner
- Monitor equipment and systems to ensure proper operation and performance
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
- Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Record and report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, and production data
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies
- Assist with other tasks as needed, including cleaning and general maintenance of the plant and equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a crusher operator or in a similar role
- Knowledge of crushing machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Attention to detail and ability to detect and resolve equipment malfunctions and maintenance issues
- Good communication skills to interact with other team members and supervisors effectively
