Maintenance Planner

Description
The Mobile Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities for mobile equipment (e.g., haul trucks, loaders, excavators) to ensure optimal availability, reliability, and safety of fleet operations in a mining environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive job plans including detailed scope of work, labor requirements, tools, and materials
- Review incoming work requests and convert them into fully planned and executable work orders
- Maintain and manage a structured maintenance backlog with a minimum planning horizon of 2–4 weeks
- Estimate labor requirements and accurately determine task durations for maintenance activities
- Ensure the timely availability of required spare parts, tools, and resources prior to job execution
- Support preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs to enhance equipment reliability
- Analyze equipment maintenance history and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) investigations
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce unplanned downtime
- Ensure all maintenance plans comply with applicable safety standards, HSE policies, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and associated maintenance practices
- Hands-on experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or equivalent platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and maintenance planning capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and planning activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and maintenance records effectively
