OVERVIEW: Dream Bridgeman International School has an opening for a full-time Preschool teacher position in Yerevan. We are looking for innovative and dedicated teachers - English native speakers and nonnatives with corresponding C1/ C2 levels. The teacher would be working with a dynamic team within the Oxford International Curriculum frames that allow them to have the flexibility and use a creative mindset for their classes. The Oxford International Curriculum is a new approach to teaching and learning focused on wellbeing, which places joy at the heart of the curriculum and develops the skills that learners need for their future academic, personal, and career success. Thus, the school values the input of its teachers in the learning process and their professionalism, readiness to be totally immersed into the multicultural environment, open-mindedness, and creative initiatives. The school primarily caters to the needs of international and Armenian families who require English-language schooling at the same time values the importance of the Armenian language and a top-quality educational experience for their children.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates plans for daily activities in line with the school curriculum.
- Makes proper changes of lesson plans if needed.
- Prepares daily & monthly activities.
- Engages with young children in activities that are age-appropriate whilst bearing educational merit.
- Keeps reports for parents and organizes parents’ meetings with the headteacher.
- Fosters a positive and healthy learning environment.
- Ensures the classroom is kept in a clean and safe condition at all times.
- Reads stories to the children as a group activity.
- Encourages creative thinking and learning.
- Does the child observation and recordkeeping.
- Conducts extracurricular activities.
- Encourages the social, physical, emotional, intellectual and educational development of the children.
- Ensures the common standards of safety, hygiene at school.
- Interacts with other teachers and administrative staff as needed.
- Participates fully in all co-curricular activities of Dream Bridgeman Academy.
- Participates in staff training organized by the school as well as by Oxford University Press.
Required Qualifications and Skills for Teachers
- MA in early childhood education, child psychology or any related field.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
- Armenian language proficiency will be deemed as privilege.
- Prior working experience in Child Care.
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
- International experience (either working abroad or for members of the international community) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of educational techniques and methods for teaching young children.
- Working experience with kids aged 24 months to 6 years using a well-designed curriculum, which focuses on interactive and active participation.
- Willingness to learn and grow.

- Caring, loving, fun, friendly, dedicated and nurturing attitude towards children.
- Patient and supportive.
- Enthusiastic and encouraging.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.

- Knowledge of basic childcare principles.
- A passion for early childhood education.

Teacher Interview / Steps Description
STEP 1: Submission of application.
DESCRIPTION: Applications received and filtered based on the applicants’ academic and professional background.
STEP 2: Resume Screening.
DESCRIPTION: Shortlisting applicants based on job qualifications and requirements.
STEP 3: In-Person Interview 1 + English Proficiency Test.
DESCRIPTION: Applicants’ oral and written communication skills in English are formally assessed.
STEP 4: Demo Lesson.
DESCRIPTION: Sample lesson (25 – 30 minutes) is delivered to assess the applicant’s classroom management skills, teaching methodologies, creativity, content expertise, organizational skills, etc…
STEP 5: In-Person Interview 2.
DESCRIPTION: Demo lesson reflection and evaluation; propose new methods of improvement.
STEP 6: Reference Checks.
DESCRIPTION: Three references and recommendation letter are requested and checked out for reliability.
STEP 7: Offer.
DESCRIPTION: Disclose the job’s benefits and salary.
STEP 8: Contract/Probationary Period.
DESCRIPTION: Applicants must undergo a three-month paid probationary period upon signing the contract.
