About the team

The Accounting team is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of TUMO Group's financial records across its Armenian and international operations. The team oversees financial accounting, tax reporting, project and construction accounting, fixed assets, payroll, and statutory reporting while ensuring compliance with Armenian legislation and applicable accounting standards. Working in close partnership with internal stakeholders and external auditors, the team provides the financial foundation that supports TUMO's continued growth and global expansion.

About the role

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fixed Asset & Materials Accountant to join our team at TUMO. The Fixed Asset & Materials Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the organization’s fixed assets and materials, establishing and overseeing internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include recording the acquisition and disposal of fixed assets, recording asset transactions in ArmSoft, tracking ongoing construction projects and conducting monthly reconciliations between the Fixed Asset & Materials subsidiary ledger and the general ledger.

A significant part of the role involves managing the organization’s tangible and intangible assets, accurately recording the cost of newly acquired assets, tracking existing assets, calculating and documenting depreciation, and investigating potential asset obsolescence.

Given the substantial financial implications of fixed assets, including heavy equipment, real estate, and durable furniture, this role is essential to ensuring accurate and reliable asset accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain procedures, internal controls, and documentation for recording fixed assets and materials, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and organizational requirements.

  • Track and record project costs related to fixed assets and materials, monitor progress against planned timelines, and ensure accounts are properly closed upon project completion.

  • Reconcile the Fixed Asset & Materials subsidiary ledger with the general ledger on a monthly basis, investigate discrepancies, and resolve identified issues in a timely manner.

  • Calculate depreciation for fixed assets, maintain depreciation schedules, and update asset records to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.

  • Assess fixed assets for potential obsolescence, conduct periodic reviews of intangible asset impairments, and calculate asset retirement obligations where applicable.

  • Analyze fixed asset and materials data, identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to management regarding asset disposal and related accounting matters.

  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, work independently on routine tasks, and seek guidance when facing unfamiliar or complex accounting issues. Proactively communicate progress, potential delays, and issues to relevant colleagues and managers.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and auditors on fixed asset and materials reconciliations, audit schedules, and related requests, ensuring clear communication, timely follow-up, and accurate delivery of information.

  • Contribute to a respectful and collaborative working environment by considering colleagues’ input, sharing relevant information, and treating others fairly and equally in line with TUMO’s organizational value

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in an accounting role.

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Experience with ArmSoft accounting software, particularly ArmSoft Enterprise, is considered an advantage.

  • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting, materials accounting and General Ledger processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Benefits

  • Health Insurance and discount on travelers insurance

  • Assistance with work permit and opening a bank account if needed

  • 5 days of Personal Leave

  • Birthday Leave
