YOUR ROLE

If you are a passionate speech therapy professional who has an innovative approach to therapy and education and is motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment, then being COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) Speech Therapy Manager is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Program Management & Operations (50%)

  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the Speech therapy services in the beneficiary villages through planning, scheduling, operations and quality assurance.
  • Supervise the assessment process of the target children and their involvement in the program.
  • Monitor and observe the speech therapy sessions through regular visits to COAF’s Child and Family Centers in the villages.
  • Maintain effective cooperation with the local schools and local & international partners.
  • Oversee the programs’ annual budget planning and regular expenses.
  • Organize and implement seminars and awareness-raising activities on speech development for target parents, teachers and children.

People Management (30%)

  • Manage your teams’ workload and schedule guaranteeing work quality & high productivity.
  • Monitor your teams’ performance by providing regular feedback.
  • Enable your teams’ continuous professional growth & motivation through professional and methodological supervision and capacity building.
  • Ensure communication flow between your team & other actors.
  • Ensure hiring and onboarding of new team members, if needed.

Content Creation & Development (20%)

  • Creation & development of the speech therapy content, including the model, implementation plans & mechanisms.
  • Foresee the creation & continuous development of program schedules, assessment cards, and learning materials.
  • Suggest and develop awareness-raising and educational materials, including manuals and booklets for the program per need.

YOUR TEAM

You will be joining the COAF Village Programs team and leading one of the three main directions of our Child & Family Services pillar - Speech Therapy. You will work under the leadership of COAF Village programs manager and will manage the team of COAF speech therapists.

  • All about speech therapy, as you have higher education in the field & more than 8 years of work experience.
  • Armenian, verbal & written and good knowledge of English.
  • Conducting research & program evaluation.
  • Conducting professional development training and seminars.
  • Creating educational and working materials on speech therapy.
  • Good knowledge of the speech therapy field development in Armenia and abroad.

YOU CAN

  • Manage programs, as you have more than 8 years of work experience in a relevant field.
  • Design a non-formal education program content, as you have relevant experience, as a trainer and a speech therapist.
  • Use a G Suit.
  • Organize, prioritize & multitask.
  • Analyze & work with data.
  • Manage and lead a team.
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches to improve the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, health, social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 66 villages in Armavir, Aragatsotn, Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions.

Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiatives. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and will be replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debet, Lori Region.
