OVERVIEW: Dream Bridgeman Academy (ACD) has an opening for a full-time position for Preschool Teacher Assistants in Yerevan. We are looking for motivated and energetic professionals that are passionate about early education to join our school as a Preschool Teacher Assistant. You will assist the lead teacher in designing plans for classes following the Oxford International Curriculum. The Oxford International Curriculum is a new approach to teaching and learning focused on wellbeing, which places joy at the heart of the curriculum and develops the skills that learners need for their future academic, personal, and career success. Thus, the school values the input of its teachers in the learning process and their professionalism, readiness to be totally immersed into the multicultural environment, open-mindedness, and creative initiatives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Works with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule
● Assists teachers with lesson preparations by getting materials ready and setting up the required equipment
● Helps teachers with attendance and other administrative tasks
● Provides a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
● Maintains records of student progress and needs
● Sings, draws/paints and is active during the playground hours
● Artistic skills and talents are an asset
● Organizes indoor and outdoor games
● Fosters a positive and healthy learning environment
● Encourages the social, physical, emotional, intellectual and educational development of the children
● Ensures the common standards of safety, hygiene in the school/follows the kids’ personal hygiene
● Provides additional supervision for students during class, lunch, recess, between classes, and on class outings or field trips
● Gives one-to-one or small group instructions
● Attends all workshops, parents’ conferences, and teachers’ meetings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS FOR TEACHER ASSISTANTS:
• BA in early childhood education, child psychology or any related field
• Prior working experience in Child Care
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
• International experience (either working abroad or for members of the international community) is an asset
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Armenian language proficiency will be deemed as privilege
• Proven organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain a professional personal appearance, attitude and work behavior at all times
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work with students with various learning needs
• Friendly and nurturing disposition
• Knowledge of basic childcare principles
• A passion for early childhood education and ability to help children grow in positive ways

DESCRIPTION: Sample lesson (25 – 30 minutes) is delivered to assess the applicant’s classroom management skills, teaching methodologies, creativity, content expertise, organizational skills, etc…
STEP 5: In-Person Interview 2
DESCRIPTION: Demo lesson reflection and evaluation; propose new methods of improvement
STEP 6: Reference Checks
DESCRIPTION: Three references and recommendation letter are requested and checked out for reliability.
STEP 7: Offer
DESCRIPTION: Disclose the job’s benefits and salary.
STEP 8: Probationary Period
DESCRIPTION: Applicants must undergo a three-month paid probationary period before signing the employment contract.
