JOB DESCRIPTION: "Right Side" Human Rights Defender NGO is looking for a Programmes and Policy Officer. The key priority for "Right Side" Human Rights Defender is acceptance and respect towards Trans and LGBQI+ people

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop organizational policies
  • -Implement, coordinate and evaluate the projects.
  • Oversee administrative duties within the programs team including management and grants administration.
  • Develop the program content on a website and social media pages.
  • Strengthen organization networking with other donors, foundations and other relevant organizations to develop programmatic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Plan and conduct travel and other outreach activities to enhance and sustain existing and future networks with potential grantees.
  • Create connections between issues relevant to the organization mission, particularly with human rights organizations and opportunities for the organization to leverage its position as human rights defender organization.
  • Identify communications opportunities and strategies to raise awareness about the organization.
  • Sustain existing and future projects and human rights activism of the organization.
  • Work in collaboration with other team members: programmatic and legal, Fundraising, Communications.
  • Lead the implementation of the advocacy plan of the organization.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS

  • LGBTQ inclusive and non-discriminative approach
  • Degree in one of the Humanities and /or Social Science.
  • At least two years of professional experience, preferably in the civil society sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian and English, knowledge of the Russian language is highly encouraged.
  • Computer literacy.
  • High literacy to develop quality written texts in English and Armenian.
  • Individual responsibility to be self-disciplined, punctuality, great interpersonal communication skills and flexibility.
  • Teamwork and effective time management skills.
